68 Mustang... installing a 351C,Your Opinion please. A neighbor is thinking about it.Has a free rebuilt 351C and needs input of all aspects...trans-will it fit,which one. Headers or factory ? Or any thing else that would give him info if this is a good or bad idea.

Bolts in on stock 302 motor mounts, use a C4 either big or smal bell, small bell use gear reuction starter. Your choice on headers or factory stuff. It's not that big a deal. See my web site.

It is a 351C...I'm surprised the C-4 will bolt up.

Yep, the C4 will bolt right up.
Do you have the small (157 tooth) or the large (164 tooth) bellhousing on the C4?
You just need the matching flexplate.

i took a 302c out of my car and bolted a 351w right in,didnt have to change a thing with mounting-and thats using a c4

I had a 67 Cougar that was originally a 390 car...only it came without any drivetrain whatsoever. So we parted out a 70 Cougar...kept the motor mounts for the cleveland out of it, as well as the FMX, driveshaft, and 9" rear end. It all bolted right in no problems. Your buddy will like it when it's done, clevelands are fun motors.
