I am checking out a C code 68' coupe. It is a project car that obviously has been around. At least the title matches the car.

One of the codes on the engine compartment buck tag is "CS." Does anyone know what it means? (ie c-stripe, collapsible spare, California Special, or ??????????)

Does someone have a like to a 68' buck tag decoder?

Hey Dennis

The CS means C-stripe if I am correct.
The GT/CS can be followed up on only if the car has a R for the assembly plant code. They were only produced out of San Jose Plant. And of course all 4118 of the GT/CS cars were coupes.
Can you get the complete door tag?
Pete

I have a few books but I don't think there are any buck tag decoders. Its still kind of a grey area.I would post your question over on the mustangsandmore site. There's some guys over there that can probably help.
