Hey:

What would be involved in swapping a '72 Torino over to bucket seats? It is currently bench.

Someone said they use the same buckets as a '72 Mustang? Is that true?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

No they are not the same and the have different seat tracks also, but on a good note the floor pans have the brackets for bucket seats and bench seats and you can easily fab up brackets to fit other seats in.

These are some simple brackets I made to mount Granada seats in my Chero

I made them long and mounted the rears to the floor pan because with the flat tracks on the Granada seats I could not use the rear mounting bolt on the chero floor pan with out raising the seats and I wanted to move them back so I could use the extra support to carry my 270 lb lard ass.

I used large washers with rounded edged to spread the load on the floor pan where I bolted the rear of the bracket through. this will help keep them from ripping out. The washers were/are from the inner fenders I try to keep a few on hand I pull them when I see them at the yards as they come in handy.

Do you think the factory brackets for a '74 would be the same as those for a '72?

Thanks,

Steve
