i have a 85 econoline 351w the motor is dead r.i.p
i found and am in process of pulling a 73 351w out of a car
after looking at the oil pans i noticed that i'll need to use the oil pan off of the econoline, i have taken thought
and have guessed that i'll all so have to change either
the oil pump sump or both oil pump amd sump right?
can any one answer this question ?

I had to convert to the rear sump pan on my 460 in Queenie's 55 Effie ...

It required a totally different pump and pick up on the 460 since the direction the pickup tube has to come out of the pump is different.

I needed: ... pump ... pan ... pickup tube ... dipstick assembly ... to make the conversion. I assume the 351W will be similarly designed.

If you have both complete motors you will have most everything you need I would think. Obviously, a new pump would be in order
