All I can say is how much power are you going to run through it ?? I have heard that mini spool won't hold alot of power..

400 rwhp at the most, 289 with 4 speed and slicks. The reason i ask is that i'm thinking of taking out my 411 with posi and puting in my 350 gear with the posi, then put the 411 gear with the spool and change punkins when i go racing. i'm getting tired of the 3500 rpm highway drives.

I have one in my diff right now because I wanted to spend money on other things before buying a locker. It seems fine but I will not be bolting up stickies until I buy 31 spline axles and put in the full spool. It's just a little hunk of metal with the pin to anchor it in the carrier.

If you are going to use a mini spool use a good one. Don't buy the cheap 25 dollar ones they are only made for dirt tracks and DOT tires. Buy a good one from Strange or Stockcar products.
