I'm going to be swapping the V6 out of my 94 Mustang coupe in a month or two, and I'd like to know what electronics I'll have to leave in to get the AOD-E transmission to still function properly (I'll be putting in a carbed 302). I think I read somewhere that all I need to do is order a throttle position sensor and mount it to the carb and I should be good to go, but this sounds a little too good to be true. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

According to a friend, it won't work without the eec module, which obviously won't work on a carbed engine. You'll either need to go to efi (which is not a bad thing!) or go to an aod which will work with the carb.

If your bent on using a carbed 302 w/ a auto just get a AOD from a 80's passanger car or Mustang, You will have to adapt the trans shift cable. You can get a bracket to make it work from a early 80's Truck with a AOD and variable venturi.
