Most of what I have has been seen but this is a fairly new one...
You are driving the average $140,000 Lingenfelter "twin-turbo" powered Corvette Z06. Over a mile up the road, a Top Fuel dragster is staged and ready to launch down a quarter mile strip as you pass. You have the advantage of a flying start. You run the 'Vette hard up through the gears and blast across the starting line and past the dragster at an honest 200 mph. The 'tree' goes green for both of you at that moment. The dragster launches and starts after you. You keep your foot down hard, but you hear an incredibly brutal whine that sears your eardrums and within 3 seconds the dragster catches and passes you. He beats you to the finish line, a quarter mile away from where you just passed him. Think about it, from a standing start, the dragster had spotted you 200 mph and not only caught, but nearly
blasted you off the road when he passed you within a mere 1320 foot long race course.
That, folks, is acceleration.
Kinda reminds me of some of the 'bracket racing' we do. 16-17-18 second cars against my slow car.
They get over 3/4 of the way down the track, and then MY lights come on. (Greg, I know YOU"VE experienced this phenomena as well).
Great time. (usually have the song from jeopardy playing in my head as I wait for the lites to come down)........dum dee dum dum..........
Before they started changing rules I would dial a 25.25 & haul butt down the track & wait at the first MPH line for the opposing car... sure made a lot of people mad when they were eliminated
Hey friends,
This is Mario Goldstein and I've spent years as an auto mechanic, making a decent living.
About five years ago, I realized that the real money was in spray painting and auto body work. I took a cut in pay at first, just to learn the skill. Since then, I've never looked back.

With a bunch of work needing done, I decided to break down and buy a real life $99 parts washer from Tractor Supply. It's the generic Chinese unit sold by Harbor Freight, and tons of other outlets. While there, I went ahead and bought a couple 5 gallon cans of their PSC 1000 solvent. Great...
Hello everyone...
I figured this was as good a place as any to make my first post. I own a 1967 Fastback that I inhereted from my father that he purchased in 1994. It isn't an all original car by any means but it's all there but the time has come to do something with it or there won't be...
ALLRIGHT lets see what's out there... anything you have ever owned, or drove for a while... like your folks car or lovers.... hmm
