Received my heads and oddly the runner walls both I and E are left slightly rough
(result of CNC porting technique I quess). The surface is like full of small wawes.
I dont think I will touch the intake runners since that kind of finish will promote swirl and evaporation of possible fuel droplets but how about the exhausts? Also the exhaust runner has small ( abt 1/4" wide) dips at both sides( left and right)of the valveguide.Do these promote flow-to me they look like they would make the runner flow worse. So what you think, should these dips be smoothed out or are they an important part of the well flowing design?

Considering what you are putting into this I would cartridge roll all the mill marks. Just leave the intakes non-polished. I would have to see pictures of those other things but it does sound like they need to be smoothed a little.

Hmmm...to me those exhausts are screaming to be cartridged....If I do that just to have to make sure not to alter the runner shape any way I quess.
