I have a 1968 Montego that for some reason I have the hankering to switch over from 2bbl to 4bbl.

1: Just how much intake I can really fit under the hood while still keeping the original air cleaner? I was thinking of the Weiand Stealth, but that would probably be too tall and too much air for the currently completely stock IMCO 302. I don't feel like going in after the cam in this engine unless I have to rebuild, hopefully that isn't any time soon.

2: I would also like to know if I would have to get rid of the original bell-crank throttle linkage if I go for an aftermarket intake.

If anyone has swapped intakes on this body style and have run into either issue, let me know what needs to be done. It is a daily driver, and I want as little down time as possible.

If the engine is otherwise stock, go with a Edel Pref or Weiand low riser manifold. That way there won't be any problems at all. Everything will swap right over.
