Sorry this isn't EFI specific, but this seemed like the most logical place to post this question.

I have a 302 with GT40 cast iron heads (not Explorer, real GT40 heads). I just bought a Edelbrock Air-Gap intake (PN#7521) and noticed that there are no rear coolant passages on the intake. My heads have them, my gasket kit has this, but the intake - not so much. The deletion of this was by design opposed to Edelbrock "forgetting" to add so I assume this will not negatively effect cooling performance. Can I just install as is and not worry about the lack of cooling passage on the new intake?

Thanks!

Correct, the rear coolant passage serves no purpose. Heads and gaskets have holes simply to allow use on either side of the engine.
