Local MPE doesn't carry an air shock for a 64 Gal. Will the air shocks for a 65 fit?

Interesting. My bro-in-law has a 63 Gal and he says he put air shocks from a 65 on it. It just sits a bit higher (which is what I am looking for anyway). He is supposed to get me the part #s. I guess i can see just what he used then.

I put a set of Garbriel Hyjacker shocks on my 67 this past winter. I think they cover all the early years, but not sure. Local Napa had em on the shelf, $28 each with the air hoses and fittings.

I purchased my air shocks off the internet. I think at the same place as listed above by Sleepsal. You can't really use shocks off of a 65 and expect any longevity. The 65 shocks mounted on a 64 would mount upside down therefore putting the air bladder in the wrong position. A very big no-no, I am told. I paid a little over $100.00 if I remember correctly. Good luck.

NOTE: By the way, the 64 is a bastard child when trying to find certain parts. I found that air shocks and headlight switches were a freaking nightmare to locate locally or on the internet. I am sure there are more parts that are this hard to find I just haven't broke them yet.

I can vouch for the upside down part. I didn't know it at the time that the shocks were on upside down. This was in 1977 and I didn't put the air shocks on. The previous owner a couple years before might of if he had been able to find a set for it though.
I had new exhaust put on and not long after that one of the hangers rubbed a hole in one of them. Kaboom!!
I see them on ebay quite often and think they were around $60-70.
