So , there are different systems on the aftermarket.(carbed systems!)

The most popular system is the one where the carb is sitting on the intake (standard lokation)
The charger (paxton)is delivering the pressed air thru an big intercooler and then in the carb.
With this system you have a short way (about 10 to 15 inches) between Throttle and intake-valve ; so the throttle-response has to be very quick.

I want to speak about the system where the carb is placed the right fender.
By this system the carb is sitting before the Paxton and the big intercooler.
Here you have a long way from throttle to the intake-valve.(I think about 100 inches +the Volume of the intercooler)
How it looks here with the throttle-response ?
I think it must be much slower and not nearly so aggressive than other system.

Is it worth to place the carb on other place than the stock -intake-lokation ?

Thanks Robert

I havn´t seen this system with a blower.
Gale Banks sold Draw-through turbo systems like kits, maybee they still do.
There are few drawbacks.
-Bad response
-The turbo/blower need a special seeling that withstands petrol.
-You can´t use a normal Air/air intercooler since it will be filled with fuel and blow.
The only type of charge cooler you can use is a water/air cooler on the intake manifold.
I would go with a Blow-through system like the ones you can buy from Paxton.
Look at the Budget Mercury Blow-through turbo system on www.toohighpsi.com.
