I have a c5 forward pressure plate that is only .130 thick stock. Has any one ever used it in a with the c5 high drum for extra clearance. It perfect for 5 stock clutches and steels. But i'm afraid to use it with a manual vavlebody with brake. I have seen others use a extra steel and it will bend with street use. I think my line pressure is about 180psi. I hope it is made of better material but it doesnt seem much harder than a steel because a file will cut both.

That .130" pressure plate is strong enough. It will hold no problem even with the high line apply pressure. No problem.

That pressure plate will hold up no probs.Check out my c4 vs c5 post. The c5 i just stripped used the thin pressure plate in both the fwd + hi/rev clutches.
I have machined the stock c4 p/plates down and never had a prob too.
