I have a slightly used holley 600cfm with vac secondaries and when i put it on my freshly rebuilt engine it starts just fine but after a couple of seconds fuel pores out of the vent on the top of the car. I tried blowing air through the inlet to clear any possible particles out but it still floods. I have the stock ford fuel pump and a new fuel filter before the pump. Any suggestions/tips.

Sounds like the float is adjusted too high or stuck. Or there is something stuck/leaking in the needle and seat for the float.
Should be fine if you rebuild it adn adjust it.

Also be sure to have a good fuel filter prior to the carb. Holley's needle and seats seem to be very susceptible to crap in the fuel.
