Ok, here we go again, I have a 2000GT, and I just bought a Dremmel drill, hacksaw and Torx bit. There was a recent post here in which a member pointed out the C&L meter is the same as ours after we cut out the post in the middle, so theorhetically if you can do the job successfully then, you save lots of dough and get more horsepower. Well talking to my friend tonight, he says the difference in the C&L, even though it uses the same stock electronics, is that the "sampling tube" is different than the stock sampling tube. Therefore, he says I am asking for trouble and/or that the car may have idle problems, run too lean. Does anyone know if this is the true scoop? And please if you have a 5.0 don't respond, only 99+ 4.6's. Also does anyone know if you can just buy the 80mm shell by itself? Thanks in advance, Doc.
