I'll try to make it quick. Have 88 T-Bird with stock tach that had been working using a Duraspark Ford ignition. Changed to Crane Hi6, no tach. Wired in MSD tach adapter, no tach. Adapter could be bad(Ebay purchase), or possibly a different brands clash problem. Bottom line, no tach. Any suggestions?

Get the correct adapter from Crane.

Hopefully you didn't burn up your factory tach.

The MSD tach adaptor should work. I used one on a 86 5.0 Stang with a Crane HI-6. The same parts are now on my '69 Cobra, still working.

Yes, I did rewire to the Crane hi6 ignition and no, it's not a stupid question. Since the car was orginally a 4 cylinder I even tried changing the 4,6,or 8cylinder options on system. I beleive one of the two is bad, Hi6 tach output or adapter. Since Hi6 was brand new, I lean towards the adapter.
