The end at the head of the bolt is only big enough for the bolt to go through. The other end is open and those are bearings on the bolt.

Brought home some of my dad's treasures on epay and told him i'd drag this along also since he had 2 of them to see if i could figure out what it was.

Looks just like an alternator spacer, where someone used bearings to space it even further, just like I did on my '70 Galaxie.

I forgot to add measurements. It's approx 1 1/2 inches across, and the hollow thing is bout 3 inches. The head isn't a bolt head and looks to have been hit with a hammer a lot! The end is welded on there not a one piece like thing like a bolt head.

Could be some kind of spacer but have to have been off a big rig as it's overkill for something like our cars would have for a spacer. Could be a spacer for something but not sure why hollow on one end. Think i need more pics.

Entire thing is 7".
