I planned to go as usual, down to paying for my parking space. But since I got involved with my vintage circle track cars and joined two racing clubs, I don't have the time nor money for an "extra" trip.

Truthfully, except for visiting with friends,Woodward is pretty much the same old dealy from one year to the next.

I'll go a couple times during the week to be able to actually "drive" on Woodward with other classics, but I agree with tbirdchick, pretty much the same year in year out. Also way to commercialized and crowded on Saturday! Plus way too many cars that are not even 10 years old yet, and not even American brand names!

On a different, but related note...I just got back from 'Hot August Nights' cruise in Reno,NV.
Man, was that place crowded!! everywhere I went was like a 20 minute wait in traffic.
It was hot!! there were hot rods overheating just sitting there idling....including mine!!
Its kinda the same thing though....lots of the same stuff year after year. But I could'nt beat the prices for "all you can eat lobster" at the casino!!

Went there and was lucky enough to meet 'da gang'. Sadly, again, this year, funds and time are lacking hugely.

Love the get together tho. It's not the cars there (and lard knows there are thousands upon thousands), but the PEOPLE that are there.

Met with the Motor City Galaxie Club people last night on Woodward. Really great group! I would recommend joining the national club too http://www.galaxieclub.com/
Woodward traffic was pretty heavy and the old Gal was really warm when she got parked. Snuck out through the neighborhood at the end so we could keep moving!

And fun was had by all...............

Wildo, sorry I didn't recognize you from last year.....I guess we only talked for a minute at the Galaxie show and then Chuckie horned in on the action.

Chooch65, nobody bothered introducing us. I saw you around the lot but I didn't know who you were. Oh well, at least we said "good bye".........

I need to work on my social skills but you see who I hang around with. Makes it kinda tough.

No Greg, I guess I should work on MY social skills. I suck at it!
Sorry for not introducing Jerry (Chooch) to everyone. I'll make up for it next year. I promise.
Then again, Chuck MADE me call him! (sarcasm Jerry! I wanted you there!)

And dont worry about not remembering me Greg. I would'nt want to remember me either!
We pretty much said "Hi" at the Galaxie Nat's. I wont interupt someone in a conversation.

With how people flock to ya, You would think you were wearing a mini-skirt!
