If your just looking for some gears any 8 inch should work(4 lug or not).Don't forget to look at mustang IIs,some pinto's,comets,falcons etc.I'd just swap the pumpkin assuming the problem is with the gears.

Yeah... they're just noisy.... and with the new spark plugs I gave that 200 I-6... He's gonna need a new rear pretty soon... You know kids, alway's poppin wheelies and burnin' rubber and stuff....

P.S. Are the seals and gaskets readily available for these old bastages? I know that they aren't available at the local pts store here...

I've got a 68 6cyl mustang rear with 2.80 gears. Wider than yours, but you're welcome to it for the gears/etc. It came behind a 200/3spd manual. Located in Central Coast, Calif.

I'm taking one out to day . It's in a 65 falcon wagon Not sure of the gears. It's behind a 200 6 with C-4. I think it was pretty quiet . I'm in rocklin ca. area
