Im looking to use my AOD in our 65 Galaxie in the future.
And Im wondering if there will be problems with installing it with the 71-73 Mustang/Torino headers we are using.

Its B&M shifted.

Not sure about the 71-3 headers you have...but

http://www.fordpowertrain.com fit just fine....assuming you are running a 4v which is what I have clears the AOD just fine...don't know about the 2v

I have either a flowtech style or doug thorley. 2v head.

Damn, I just did some measuring. No go with the deaders we are using (so it seems) I was not able to get an exact measurment. But enough that I can see that the headers will be really REALLY close to the tranny.

Ill have to see about it later, Im not able to get at the trans real good right now. And its windier then a SOB so Im not pulling anything out of the shed today.
