I finally got around to tearing down my shortblock today.Are these the good truck rods that I've heard about?

Yep those have the football shaped rod bolts.

Those are them' ...! Now resize them and use wave loc ARP bolts. If going in mine I would polish the beams have them shot peened and balanced. Tom

Looks like they got their money's worth out of those bearings.

Those look Exactly like my 200 I-6 rods.... I too had the oval headed rod bolts... But my part #'s are C-1 "something something"

Yeah it was about ready for a new set.
I'm only using the block for my 408.Everything else will be scat.

The D6 indicates that the part was either designed or revised in 76 and since you couldn't get a W in a truck until 83 they don't have the D6TE # that your expecting. The term "truck rods" pertains to their wide spread use in the F series and has nothing to do with the casting #.

Kinda the same way the 87-95 stang used E7TE heads on a car engine.
