Iwant to change the 3 bolt harmonic balancer in my 71 bronco to a 4 bolt balancer,as far as I know it is the original 302 that came in it and I think it is a 28 0z. balancer. What do I need to do or what year model balancer do I need to look for.

Do you want a Hi-Perf part or just an OEM replacement?

In 1970 the 4 bolts first appeared.

Since you say you have an original 71' 302, then look for a balancer from a 1969' or earlier 289, 302, or 351w. They use the same balancer and all have 3 bolt pulleys.

Aftermarket ones are available fairly cheap from places like Summit. It is even possible to buy one with both patterns.

These can handle 3- and 4-bolt pulleys.
