Would a bad starter solenoid affect the battery charging?
My new Optima doesn't seem to be charging and the only thing I did/changed was replace the starter solenoid.

Well the battery is connected right there. Have you looked to make sure the connections are clean and tight? Stu

Cables are new etc, also I checked the output from the Alt, the maxi fuse and am getting 14.7 right to the end of the batt cables so it seems good, but the battery isn't charging. I am thinking maybe I got a bad Optima.

Whats the voltage on the battery without the connections attached?
Maybe you have a drain or a short somewhere?

Does Optima have a warranty?

As far as I know, Optimas should give you some sort of warranty. I've heard horror stories about them, but I've had nothing but good luck with my red top.

Can you try the battery in another vehicle?
