I was wondering if anyone had any experiance installing an electric water pump, and if it freed up any extra ponies from not having the addtional load on the crank. I was looking at the CSI units and i have seen them on a lot of drag cars, but i use my car as a street strip kinda deal

I use an electric water pump on the street. I love the fact that if an when it ever gets too hot, I can park the truck and let the pump and electric fan run and in minutes the engine is back down to 150 deg's I have not had any bad experiances with the electric pump so far, it's been a year. I use the MOROSO Billet pump that flows 47GPM.

do the electrics, produce a flow at constant high rate, or somewhere in an average rate of flow. can you get varying motor speed ones that ramp up to speed as a normal water pump would do.
