Hi, I am putting together my '69 S code Mach 1, I need to know which valve stem seal will work best with stock cast iron GT heads, I have heard about issues with both Viton and Teflon and their oiling differences, which of these seals would work best on un modified valve stems and bosses.
Thanks, Bill

Barry R at Survival Motorsports recommended viton for me, but I have Edelbrock heads. I personally would still use them over Teflon on stock heads. Much easier to install and I haven't had any issues. You might drop him an e-mail for your application.

I buy directly from US Seal, but these are the same, scroll down to different options depending on valve guide size

FORD, FE 352, 360, 390, 410, 427, 428 - Alex's Parts Sales

The positively located Viton is the way to go, umbrellas are not in the same league

Measure your guide OD and make sure you have room with your spring ID, sometimes you need to cut the guide and go with a smaller seal, but generally not with a normal FE spring and damper
