Hey guys,

I'd like to run a spacer on my 65 mustang, 302 with edelbrock rpm and 600 cfm edelbrock carb. I was told that the biggest spacer I can run is a 1/2". I have a stock hood and don't plan on changing that any time soon. Does anyone know what the max spacer size would be?

Depends, with a drop base air filter you may be able to get away with 1 inch, in my 67 mustang with an RPM manifold and a holley carb I have between 1 and 1.5 inches of clearence using a morose drop base air cleaner. Get some clay and put it on top of your air cleaner and claose the hood to find out how much clearence you really have.
