I have a block that I am going to use in a Mustang II build up. It came from a 95 bronco. It has XXX on both sides by the lifter bores. What does this mean. thanks Kurt

Only thing I can figure is that it came from a low-buck adult movie...

Seriously, I have no clue. I have several 351w and a few 302 blocks with all those X's in the valley. I can't see any differences other than the X's.

Are the lifter bores machined flat with 2 casted and tapped bosses in the valley??
If so its a roller block.
If it has a 8.2 deck height than its a 302. With a 9.2 deck height its a 351w
I dont think the XXX have to do with anything. But im not an expert.

It is a roller block. It was a complete engine with a rod knock. Kurt
