I'm getting ready to put the body of my 68 fastback on to the frame in the next couple of weeks and have bought the body monting kit from Metro Moulded Parts(just a buch of rubber). Where do I by all of the bolts,washers,nuts etc to put everything back together and is there any instructions available as to where everything goes? The kit included 53 rubber peices(only know where 1/3 of them go).

Dennis Carpenter sells body bolts in bulk. 5/16 x 5/8" bolts $22 for 50 and 5/16 x 1" bolts $20 for 50. I saw complete body mounting bolt kits somewhere but I'll have to look through my stuff and try to find out where it was...

I cleaned and reused all but a few of mine. I went to a local parts store who had a Dorman drawer and found them. The flange nuts all survived.

A tumbler will make them look like new, and a dip in some bolt conditioner/protection will keep them from rusting. I have found that alot of this old hardware to be better than any of the far east stuff you get today. Unless it is visibly pitted after tumbling, I would reuse it.

The convertible uses some special pieces, so some of those 53 won't apply.
