Im gonna buy this kit

I can choose the size on the booster (inches/diafragm). How big booster can be used in a 63 Galaxie with a 352/390? I assume an 8 inch booster can be used, but im not sure

You can use ANY size you want, the key here is to get it to FIT between the engine and where it bolts to.

Thats obvious. The booster can be too wide and touch the valve covers. Therefore I wonder if 8 inches is to wide when the original location of the booster is used

The booster on my kit is 8" outside dimension. There is probably 1" clearance to the valve cover on my 61 Sunliner with a 352.

Thanks for information. 61 and 63 have not identical dimensions in the engine bay, so I may choose 7" to be sure and have possibility to change to more "cool" valve covers later
