they are about the same, borlas on some cars are quiet and on some loud, I have borlas on my 67 and they are quieter than my super turbos at idle and higher rpm cruise but they are way loud at WOT and sound bitchen. As I get older though I like quiet even though the sound of a finely tuned V* sounds better than music.

Tip, if you are looking for the quietest highest flowing muffler the super hemi turbo by dynomax flows better than just about any muffler and almost equal to a straght pipe. They are closest to stock in quietness yet still sound good. The big problem is they are 20" long and dont fit all cars, I am contemplating cutting a bit of my floor pan to make them fit as I'm getting a bit tired of not being able to hear my stereo over the mufflers.

Then just get a louder stereo.
It's alot easier than cutting the floor pan up.

BTW there are numerous mufflers that provide near OEM sound deadening and will still fit your app, you just need to look for them.

Had a set of UltraFlows on my old '74 Maverick street car...sounded GREAT with the X pipe. You could hear it, but it wasn't loud by any means. Sounded about like a new corvette...only it sounded like a Ford engine rather than a rice V8.
