I have a 63 galaxie 4 door 289, i want to upgrade to disc brakes but cant afford a $500 kit. I was told that spindles off a newer ford nay fit, and was offered 69 galaxie disc spindles, and 73 maveric disc spindles. Dose anyone kno if eather will fit without serious modification? The '69 spindle will fit straight in there using the '63 ball joints and tie rods.
All you might have to do is grind a little on the arm where the tie rod fits, so that you gain a little length to fit the tie rod nut on.
