hey guys i am new here and my son has a 65 coupe and we just did a rebuild and installed a new cam a little biger not much and seems like now the power breaks at a idel seems hard but after a little throttle there ok what could cause this ,, it runs great ,,, any ideas ?????

seems like the breaks was ok till i did the timing to day i set it 10 btdc
i am doing the vacuum tommorrow i need to get a gauge anything you can tell me ??

probably bumping the timing up a bit will give it a little more vacuum, but you'll just have to experiment with both timing and the idle mix screws to get the vacuum to where you need it.

ok guys here is where i am now
i did the vacuum and timing i have 17 maybe 18 on the vacuum in park the breaks is fine now buttttttttt what i fould is i have a miss when i the vacumm advance is hooked up i pluged it off is is great no miss or anything what does that tell me ????? were do i need to go now ????

What are the lift/duration numbers on the new cam?

i think i might have a bad vacuum adv. i have it pluged off it runs great i am checking into a new rebuild one
