short story,
one night found some room on the road, so I hit it. Ended up throwing the drive shaft, and breaking the weld on the flangs on the axcle case that bolt to the leafs. Twisting the 9".

after being stranded on the dark road (thank god for AAA).

the drive shaft has to get rebuilt, but while I have to that, i'm gonna take out the 9" and go thru it. I've been wanting to put in a locker any way, more than likely a trac loc.

After I get it out, what are some things to look for? as far as ware and tear.
What sould I look for when shopping for a locker? If all is well in the 3rd member, I don't want to replace if I don't have to.

here's what I'm running;
'56 F-100
'72 Torino front clip
351C .030 over Holly 750/ performer intake (switching soon)
built C6 with B&M
9" 3.25 gearing
255/60/15 BF Goodrich TA's (Iwant to go taller and wider with the rubber).

also what will traction bars do for me? I get some sway in the back, what about sway bars?

while it's apart I want to do it right.

this topic has been touched on, and some links have been put up, but what gearing would be best for a daily driver hitting the strip here and there? I just heard that 3.50 with trac loc would be a great combo.

Just want to here what you guys have to say.
