Anyone tried the seal remover tool for C-4 shifter (gear selector) rather than removing pan and valve body? Good or bad idea?

I use a small pocket screw driver if the shaft is still in the trans.

I'll try it. Thanks! Someone also recommended using sheet metal screws after drilling two small holes on either side of the seal. Then use pliers to pull out.

Impossible !!! The shift lever must come out to do the actual case seal, so pan and valvebody out . It then comes out easy no tool required .
The seal is behind the shift lever , not accessible without removing it .
If it is just the kickdown seal that is easy and also no tool required

Thanks! Not a big job, just messy. No matter how careful the valve body keeps on leaking all down your arms.lol😎
