I have a case fill converter for 157t flexplate I'm tring to use in a pan fill trans. I made a new hole to make the starter work, but I noticed when I put it in the truck that the converter was back from the flex plate more than normal. Are the bellhousings different depth from one case to the other? It just don't seem like the converter could be in the pump gear far enough to work right.

yep, what you need to do is get a case fill bell for a 157 tooth flywheel, it bolts in where the pump bolts in.....been so long since i fooled w/ an automatic, not sure if you need longer bolts, but hopefully if you find the bell it will still be on the tranny, and you can use the bolts from it, to be sure.....
