I have used in all my rebuild the Bulkpart Master kits.
If it is a street car then i would think this would be fine.
I have got both the Broader perfromance drums for my 66.
I felt i needed 6 frictions and a stronger forward drum for the 66 as it is putting out close to 500 hp.

its going in my 93 mustang notch/ Its got a 5.0 HO stock bottom end in with with new rings and bearings put in it last year. I got edelbrock performer 1.90 valves and edelbrock performer intake. Stock TB,Maf, injectors. It's got 3.27 limited slip in rear. So its not the most powerful right now but if ones better than the other the price difference isn't that great.

All you need is a stock build up, a TransGo -2 kit, and a big external cooler and you will be fine. I don't see any need to get special materials for a near stock motor. You could get the 5 clutch drums and the complete overhaul materials for less than you will spend to make a transmission to take nearly twice your engine's output. Read Gregaust's post in that thread you quoted - he is a knowledgeable builder.
