Can the C4 kickdown shaft be rotated 180 degrees to get better fitment for alternative kickdown levers?

I am installing a C4 in a 68 Torino where a FMX had been swapped in previously.

The C4 kickdown shaft will need to turn 180 in order for the lever from this kit to line up properly.

The kickdown shaft stays the same , but you can take the outer lever off and swap it around no probs

Greg, in this case I need the shaft to rotate 180, i cant turn the lever upside down as it is cable actuated. There is a D shape so to speak on the end of the kickdown shaft that needs to face 180 opposite of what it is for this piece to work.

Can I rotate the shaft within the trans 180 without affecting anything?

As Greg said, no you can't. If you could, the flats would be in the same place and it wouldn't help. You probably mean 90 degrees? You're going to have do something with the lever.

Big duh on the 180 on my part...

I will cut the bracket in half, flip it over and weld it back up...

Only if you change the linkage to operate the other direction (push/pull).
