I dunno, ive never done a shift kit. but i did do a full manual reverse pattern valve body with a hurst shifter- WELL worth the effort ! just do the appropriate stall converter for your engine. i didnt do a stall converter and the shifting was so tight and perfect that it barked the tires on every shift even third. when my foot was really in it the tires flat out spun on every shift !

I've never done a full manual "kit". I would really like to try the kit that Boaderperformance.com has. It will converter a auto valve body to full manual with reverse pattern. Transgo has a kit to convert to full manual, but retain the forward pattern.
