I just rebuilt my c4 tranni with a trans-brake and it shifts great until it warms up. What will happen is when I shift to high gear (3rd) the moter will lug down like hitting the brakes pretty bad. I built it to the specs on the sheet but I think one of the bands are to tight. Factory specs call for 1 and 1/2 turns backoff after torqueing bolt and the specs for the transbrake I put in calls for 1 1/4 turn back off. I used all alto clutches and bands. I know the intermediate band has to release for high gear, right? any help would be appreciated.

OK sure does sound like you have some leakage somewhere causing you problems.

What are the details on your 2nd gear servo, I like my seals so tight the piston is hard to push back and forth. Heaven forbid you did not do the infamous servo mod.

Who built the VB?

Yea I did the servo mod but didnt like it, I also seen that after putting in a full manual valve body that most people who "professionally" build them just use the stock one. It shifts damn hard by the pressure it has now, 210lbs. I have a c servo and might change it out later.
Anyway I fixed the problem, the valvebody was sticking between 2 and 3. Thanks for all the replys.
