I know there are a few companies out there that offer aftermarket overdrives to fit most applications, and they don't add too much length overall. But on another site I visit about Ford Trucks, someone there once told me the E4OD transmission is based on the C6 design, sharing many internals and mounting points. Don't know how true that is, but it might not hurt to ask a mechanic at a transmission shop near you if it is or not. But if it is, I don't know how hard it would be to incorporate into your truck, seeing as it is an electronic transmission. Sorry it's not a real good answer to your question, but I hope it might at least be a start for you.

For what it would cost to make an E4OD or 4R100 work you could almost buy a gearvendor overdrive, which will be far superior.
