Ok my 82 F150 4x4 C6 is dead. No reverse, only 2nd , something like that. Would it be worth it to find an AOD and swap it in there? How much power are the AOD's capable of holding, Since a 408 may be in the future, gobs of torque. Will it bolt to my NP208 T-case?
Or should I rebuild the C6?
Its my toy truck, hunting trips, towing boats. Some long trips. Its got 6" lift 35's 4.11 gears locked all the around.

I would just rebuild the C6 since you already have one, you probably save yourself close to $1000, unless you swapped your C6 for an AOD. I have an AOD and it is pretty good and I know that own of the project mustangs on this site has one, and I am pretty sure that car has quite a bit of HP.
