building a 351w, have two cams. can you guys give me the pro's and con's ?
cam#1
492/480 lift
262/270
.050 218/224
112 l.c.

cam#2
284/294
.050 224/230
510/510 lift
108 l.c.

both flat tappet

Cam 2 unless you have stock single exhaust, stock converter, and a 2bbl. Cam 2 can be used with Rhoads lifters if using a stock converter but without knowing anything else other than it's a 351W, I still pick cam 2 knowing it has a 4bbl and dual exhaust. Rhoads will make cam #2 work with stock converter.

bigs 750 carb,headers,ported heads, bigger valves,3" flowmasters,forged pistons,9.5 to 1 comp,roller rockers.that is the 351w
