Can someone give me a hand with decodeing these # from 2 different rear-ends?

The first is from an 87 Cougar XR-7
V493B and 2L73 75 7E18

The second is from a 90 Ranger
S302C and 45 75 0002 or
S302C and 4S 75 0D02

The Ranger # was kinda rusty so I think I got them right. I mainly just need to know what gear is in each I am pretty sure the Cougar is a 2:73? Any help?

Well, the one from the Cougar is:

V493B: no idea, probably plant axle code #

2L73: "L" =limited slip diff, 2.73:1 ratio

75: 7.5" ring gear diameter

7E18: Date code of Manufacture, May 18, 1987

Can't help much with the Ranger, count the teeth on the ring and pinion.
