Explain to me how this could happen, just changed alternator, pulleys, water pump, and electric fan. Now the car's exhuast is quieter.
Here are the facts on my 1967 coupe 289, auto

Pre upgrade: stock water pump, fan, radiator, alternator, v belt

Post upgrade: edelbrock victor jr water pump, spal fan, 3 core radiator, march serp pulleys, pa performance alternator

I didn't touch the exhaust its always had headman full length headers, 2.5" 40 series flowmasters with dumps.

I swear to you the car is a ton quiter now, it still drones but it isnt has loud at idle. I didn't touch the exhaust all i did was a complete cooling system and alternator. I have no idea how the car got quiter, even a friend of mine told me it isnt as loud.
Any ideas how this could have happened

There isn't as much load on the engine at idle & part throttle maybe due to less parasitic losses from the new pump, fan and pullies? Only thing I can think of

The stock fans make a ton of noise that may be why it sounds so quiet now..It should still sound the same from the rear of the car though.
