ok hears my thought if i take a holley 4777-7 650 dp carb with 1 11/16 blades and ad a 850 dp holley mainbody to the carb insead of the 650 mainbody will that make it a 830 dp ??

and will the metering blocks work with the 850 .? and if not y dose it work with a proform mainbody..

The metering blocks and float bowls should work on any main body. The throttle blades... I'm not sure. I think that the throttle blades will be fine. Just make sure its the same type of main body - if the main body is four corner idle, the base needs to be too.

I believe you can do it with a 4780 main body, but not sure about the 4781... according to the info I've seen the 850 (4781) has larger 1-3/4" throttle bores.

I've done what you are proposing except with a 750 (4779) main body and it works great. But maybe as you said, all the parts will work together, and you'll just have a little less CFM than a normal 850?
