Hey All,
Just read that Carroll Shelby has passed away.

Yeah it's a sad, sad day in the automotive world. I never got a chance to meet the man and I always meant to send in my glove box door to have him sign it, just never did get around to it. His work with Chrysler in the 80s is what fueled my turbo Dodge obsession, and I still own a couple cars he inspired. Someday I'd still like to add an 86 GLHS and a 89 CSX-VNT to the herd.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Shelby. :(

Wow shocking. Almost like John Lennon's death.

He lived a pretty good life in spite of his heart troubles, he sure had an impact on my tastes in cars and in particular Ford...

What a living legend he was.

Thank you Mr Shelby. R.I.P.

Did anyone happen to catch the tribute to Carroll on the VELOCITY
channel last night? there were 3, 1 hour episodes. I recroded them
and will watch them tonight. Why they aired so late I have no clue.
I watched par tof the first one but went to bed as they started to
talk about Shelby putting the stones to Ferrari.

Yes I watched the first and part of second. Recorded as well. Aired so late probably cause of his untimely death all channels were booked and was aired in a late slot.

He had a good life . I been to his shop but never saw him there, busy man.
