ok i have a 62 galaxie 500 xl with a built 352,iam looking to switch to an aluminum radiator to make sure she stays cool in traffic,so i found a champion radiator that fits 63-64 500 xl's so it should fit my 62 it is 3 core and should cool 650hp with built in trans cooler and i think it is direct fit ,,is there anybody running these if so can i get some feedback,,thanks

I have a Champion in my 65 mustang and also one in my 79 F150. The one for my truck did not fit. They wanted photos and a description of the problem so at least they were acting like they were going to do a mod to address this. They also offered me a full refund if it wasn't going to work for me. The finned area was not set back enough to clear the ac core. It appeared that it was designed for a non-ac truck. I used some washers to shim the ac core forward a little and then it fit fine. So far they are both working great for me.

I've used 3 of the Summit racing brand radiators in 3 different cars.
Either made by Champion or Northern? None of them have been direct fits for these cars.

But all 3 cool without issues.
