Hey Guys, I've got a 66 green dot C4 and want to know if I can swap the guts from a later C4 since the input shaft is better and whatever else might be and put them into the green dot case?

I only want around 280-300 hp so would I really need to change out the guts anyway? I won't be racing at the track but might want to have a little fun on the street.

I'd just as soon rebuild mine since I already have a 67-69 valve body which is better and a deep aluminum pan on it and don't want another tranny just sitting around taking up space in my small garage.

There ya go. At 300hp, you're fine with the old guts re-done properly, and put a Trans-Go 47-1 (daily driver) or 47-2 (weekend warrior) kit in the 67-69 VB.

I agree for that power the original will be fine . Really not worth IMO trying to update the older internals
