Just got a 3g 130 amp unit to upgrade in my 65. What are good products to use to clean the thing with? It's got some light oxidation on it. Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks.

Careful there Kingof...
Oven cleaner will DOUBLE the oxidation immediately after you remove it... The aluminum will be effected by the cleaner immediately. It's good to use on blocks and iron like that but not aluminum.

For the oxidation I would suggest (onlu siggest mind you) shopping the parts store for aluminum polish and do it by hand then some brake-clean to clean off the excess then a blow gun to blow out the extra junk... The brake-clean will evaporate without hurting the plastic coating on any of the internals, Carb cleaner will effect the placstic insulation of the wiring....

That's just my opinion Wes don't hate me...

If you can take it completely apart, sand blast is the best. Otherwise you can work it over by hand with some emory cloth and clean it up with some brake cleaner.
