I got the Red Eagle Friction & Kolene Steels hp kit to do my trans. I reliazed today, as I was putting it together, that I forgot to order an extra clutch friction plate. I was looking on bulkpart and they got different part numbers for the forward and direct clutch. WHen I got my kit all the clutches came in one bag, is there a difference bewteen the two?

The forward clutches measure at .061" thick and are smooth. The high/reverse are in the .075-.080 range and waffled surface. Your kit may have all smooth clutches and same thickness. If so build up the clutch packs and make sure clearance is ok... Let us know what you got.

yeah i realized they were different thicknesses. Some how I managed to get the same ones together just in the wrong drums. Clearences for the reverse/high were just about .050'' and the forward was right about .040''. thanks
